If Word Explorer is already installed on your computer, you need only download the file WWWE 1.5.3 Update to get the latest version.
To check what version of Word Explorer is currently installed on your computer select "Help | About" from the Word Explorer Main Menu.

Close Word Explorer first if it is running on your computer.
Download the Word Explorer Update File.
Select run to Install or once downloaded double click on the file "WWWE 1.5.3 Update.exe".
If Word Explorer was not originally installed to the default path of "c:\Program Files\Word Explorer" shown in "Unzip to Folder", browse to where Word Explorer was installed.
Click the "Unzip" button.
Click the "Close" Button.
Start Word Explorer and check that the version is 1.5.3
Note : If updating on Windows Vista, you will need to ensure the that required security permissons are enabled on the Word Wrangles directory to allow the updated files to be installed.
For many of the Word Explorer Word Lists and Word Games no additional Resource Support Files are required. For some Word Lists and Word Games though, additional Resource Support files may be required to be installed. This will only need to occur once.
It is recommend that all available Resource Support files are downloaded to allow the Word Games provided with Word Explorer to be played in their full capacity.
If you are opening a Word List or playing Word Game that requires MSAgent, a Text To Speech (TTS) or a Speech Recognition (SR) engine which is not currently available on your computer, click on the following link for access to these Resource Support Files. Resource Support Files
