MSAgent Support Files
This link will take you directly to the Microsoft MSAgent downloads page. These downloads are all free of charge from Microsoft. If you want to play any of the Languages Word Games you may need to download and install MSAgent Language files.
Available Languages are English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Text to Speech engines - You will need to download and install the Text to Speech engine for each language for MSAgent if you wish to use them in Word Explorer.
Note : If when installing a particular Text to Speech engine, the inital screen that appears is in a languages you can't read or don't have appropriate fonts for, just select the left button which is always "Yes" to install. The right button is "No" and will cancel the installation.

SAPI5 Text ToSpeech (TTS) and Speech Recognition (SR)
This link will take you directly to the Microsoft SAPI5 downloads page for the required support files for SAPI5 Text To Speech (TTS) and Speech Recognition (SR). This includes Microsoft TTS engines in various English voices as well as the Microsoft Simplied Chinese TTS engine. Speech Recognition (SR) engines for English, Chinese and Japanese are also available.
Microsoft Readers also contain SAPI5 compliant TTS engines for English, German and French and can be downloaded using the following links
Note : Installing SAPI5 TTS and SR files can be a little complicated. If the instructions provided on the Microsoft web pages are totally bamboozling,
you might want to ask some one with a good understanding of computers to assist you.

Fonts
Foreign Language Fonts may need to be installed on your computer when opening Word Lists or playing Word Games that use letters not contained in the standard ANSI character set. For example Chinese or Japanese characters. If you have the Arial Unicode MS font on your computer then that is a good one to use.
The are numerous web sites that provide fonts for different languages. If you type "Foreign Language Fonts" into a search engine such as Google or Yahoo, you will find many web sites providing Foreign Language Fonts that can be downloaded free of charge. Download and install these fonts as required.
Microsoft Data Access Components - MDAC
MDAC is required to use any of the Word Explorer Resource files ending with the ".wwr" extension. MDAC comes with all the Windows operating systems Word Explorer can be used with, so you should not need to install anything for MDAC. If however you are experiencing problems with using Reference or Association resources in Word Explorer, it is recommended that you upgrade to the latest version of MDAC.
